DALLAS — The LATAM Group is opening and upgrading its lounges in airports across South America. In 2025, LATAM plans to invest US$10.5 million in a new space at Lima's Jorge Chávez Airport (LIM) and is designing a new US$18 million facility in São Paulo's Guarulhos Airport (GRU) that is scheduled to open in 2027.
Additionally, in late February, LATAM started remodeling its lounge at El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá and plans to expand the lounge at Miami International Airport (MIA) in the coming years.
“These new infrastructures reinforce our commitment to offer more sophisticated and welcoming spaces,” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group. “They will align with the one already in operation in Santiago since 2022, featuring modern and comfortable areas inspired by South American architecture, culture, hospitality, and national elements.
“This is another step toward positioning LATAM as a global benchmark in premium travel experience,” Miranda added.

Premium Spaces
The new lounge in Peru, scheduled to open in the coming months, will consist of two independent areas — Signature and Premium — that share a reception zone and cover 2,450 square meters (26,300 sq ft). LATAM anticipates that 24,000 passengers will utilize the space each month by 2026.
Design work on LATAM Airlines Brazil’s lounge in Terminal 3 of GRU, will begin this year. The lounge will span 4,700 square meters (50,500 sq. ft.), making it the largest in Latin America.
In Colombia, the airline is investing US$500,000 in renovating its lounge to provide a more comfortable experience starting in May. The upgraded lounge will offer 136 seats and cover a total area of 650 square meters (7,000 sq. ft.).
LATAM also operates international lounges in five of its network airports: Santiago, Chile, at Arturo Merino Benítez Airport (SCL); at GRU Terminal 3; BOG, Buenos Aires, at Ezeiza Airport (EZE); and MIA at Concourse J.
Signature Check-in
Additionally, LATAM has recently introduced a dedicated area for frequent flyer check-in called the Signature Check-in. This space is for LATAM Pass members in the Black Signature and Black categories (the program's highest loyalty levels). It is designed to offer greater privacy, efficiency, and hospitality for elite members traveling to international destinations.
The service is available 24 hours a day and is located in Terminal 2 of SCL. It features tablets and portable printers to facilitate a quicker and easier check-in process.
When the new terminal at LIM opens, LATAM will also provide this exclusive space there.
