DALLAS — Through an announcement made on September 3, 2024, Rome Fiumicino (FCO)-based carrier ITA Airways (AZ) will resume flights between Rome (FCO) and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport (TLV).
After the hiatus due to the region’s unstable geopolitical situation, the first flight flew earlier today, on September 5, 2024. The carrier will only operate a daily daytime service for this route.
Flight AZ806 departs Rome FCO at 09:10 and arrives in Tel Aviv at 13:30 (both are local time).
The return flight to Fiumicino will leave TLV at 14:30 as AZ807 and arrive in the Italian capital at 17:15. AZ has also said that nighttime services will resume from October 1, with flights AZ810 (FCO-TLV) and AZ809 (TLV-FCO).
ITA Airways will deploy the Airbus A321neo on this route. It can seat up to 165 passengers in a three-class configuration: 12 in Business, 12 in Premium Economy, and 141 in Economy.
The airline said they “will continue to closely monitor geopolitical developments in the Middle East and evaluate their potential impact on operations.”
