Hawaiian Airlines Expands West Coast Winter Service

DALLAS – Hawaiian Airlines (HA) will increase scheduled services between Honolulu (HNL) and Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA).

The HNL-based carriers is gearing up to handle increased passenger demand from the West Coast to the Hawaiian Islands during the holiday season.

The airline will operate the increased frequencies with various aircraft over the holiday period. It will use Airbus A330 and Airbus A321neo aircraft to operate the routes. All of these aircraft are Starlink-equipped.

"We’re already seeing compelling demand for end-of-year travel and our extra flights will make it even more convenient for our guests to experience our Hawaiian hospitality during the holiday season," said Brent Overbeek, executive vice president and chief revenue officer at Hawaiian Airlines.

Exploring Airline History Volume I

David H. Stringer, the History Editor for AIRWAYS Magazine, has chronicled the story of the commercial aviation industry with his airline history articles that have appeared in AIRWAYS over two decades. Here, for the first time, is a compilation of those articles.

Subjects A through C are presented in this first of three volumes. Covering topics such as the airlines of Alaska at the time of statehood and Canada's regional airlines of the 1960s, the individual histories of such carriers as Allegheny, American, Braniff, and Continental are also included in Volume One.
