DALLAS — Frontier Airlines (F9) will expand its route network this spring by launching three new connections across six U.S. and Caribbean airports.
Effective May 2025, this expansion will give the traveling public more options for a cheaper yet more convenient ride.
"The new routes are just part of the mission to give consumers affordable and convenient flight options to a broad range of U.S., Caribbean, and other destinations," says Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design for F9.
"As we enter 2025, the next chapter for The New Frontier is launched, an even more valuable way for the consumer to delight in the ultimate value in flying and a superior, more integrated experience."

Enhancing the Travel Experience
Along with route expansion, F9 continues to redefine its service model under "The New Frontier."
This initiative emphasizes improved customer service, better seating options, and a transparent pricing structure that puts passengers in charge of their experience.
Frontier just launched its UpFront Plus premium seating, which offers more leg and elbow room. These seats are in the first two rows at the front of the aircraft, where an empty middle seat guarantees double comfort at a significantly cheaper price point. In late 2025, it will launch its first First-Class offering, with much more space and comfort on board.
This has made F9 flexible, with no change or cancellation fees and longer windows on flight credits. A 'For Less' Price Guarantee offers better flexibility to customers in their air travel. Simplification of booking while ensuring value for their money is at the core of this airline.
Revamped Loyalty ProgramThe ULCC has also improved its frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, so passengers get faster rewards and more benefits. The program offers a 10X multiplier on every dollar spent, with increased multipliers for elite-status members. Top-tier members can earn up to 20X miles per dollar spent, allowing them to accumulate miles more quickly.
Other elite perks include:
- Modifications made seven days or more before departure come with no alteration or cancellation fee
- Priority boarding
- Free seat selection
- Free checked bags at the Gold, Diamond, and Platinum levels
As of 2025, here are some other new benefits offered:
- Free unlimited companion travel
- Redeem miles for baggage and seating packages
- Seat upgrade for elite members
The program has associated family-friendly perks, such as easy family mile pooling, making it easier for households to earn and redeem rewards together. Membership is free, furthering F9's commitment to affordability and accessibility.
Sustainability, Cost-Effective Travel
As "America's Greenest Airline," F9 continues to prioritize sustainability. Its fleet is one of the youngest in the industry, comprised mainly of fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo aircraft. Thus, the airline can burn less fuel and keep operating costs relatively low, making those lower fares sustainable and competitive for passengers.
The airline's new routes align with its strategy of offering cheap travel without sacrificing efficiency or environmental responsibility. Direct flights to high-demand destinations help F9 maximize fuel efficiency while maintaining its ultra-low-cost model.
Looking AheadWith new routes, more service options, and a strong loyalty program, F9 is well-positioned to lead ultra-low-cost travel. These will stay at the core of its expansion strategy, which is committed to affordability, sustainability, and passenger experience.
As the aviation industry grows, F9 maintains its customer-centric approach to seamless and cost-effective travel across the U.S. and beyond. As developments continue, the airline can expect passengers to experience further innovation in embracing "The New Frontier."
