DALLAS — UAE flag carrier Etihad Airways (EY) is commemorating its two-decade-long relationship with India by introducing its flagship Airbus A380 on the Abu Dhabi-Mumbai route for a limited time.
From September 1 to December 31, 2024, the double-decker aircraft will operate three weekly flights, enhancing the travel experience between these critical destinations.
This special deployment marks 20 years since EY's first flight to Mumbai on September 26, 2004. Over the years, the airline has expanded its presence in India, offering direct flights from Abu Dhabi to 11 Indian cities, and plans to grow further.
To celebrate this milestone, EY is offering promotional fares for A380 flights, meaning those who want ot experice flying on the Superjumbo jet can do so at a lower fare.
The EY A380 provides Economy passengers with 68 Extra legroom seats or 337 Smart Seats with their innovative headrests. Business class features 70 private suites designed in collaboration with Armani/Casa, complete with Wi-Fi and access to The Lobby lounge.
First class offers nine luxurious private suites with designer amenities and an exclusive shower room.
Etihad says it plans to have its sixth A380 in service by early 2025, further expanding its premium offerings. The airline has also hinted at upcoming regional partnerships and initiatives, promising more exciting developments for its Indian market shortly.
