DALLAS – Etihad Airways (EY), is gearing up for the winter travel season with exciting updates to its North American services. A significant boost comes for Boston (BOS) travelers.
Starting October 27, EY will increase its non-stop service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) from four weekly flights to daily. This caters to the strong performance of the route, which has seen near-capacity flights since its launch in March 2024.
“Our Boston service continues to perform strongly, with our flights near capacity since our inaugural flight in Boston this March. Having already experienced record passenger demand, we’re excited to invest further in the North American market by expanding our flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad.
The daily flights will continue to be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, configured with 28 seats in Business and 262 seats in Economy. Passengers can expect a comfortable and enjoyable journey with in-flight entertainment systems, in-seat power, Wi-Fi connectivity, and world-class service.
Convenient Schedule, Immigration
The AUH-based carrier said that the convenient flight schedule allows for smooth connections to EY’s growing network across the UAE, the Gulf region, and 11 non-stop routes to India. Additionally, EY’s partnership with JetBlue (B6) offers seamless connections to numerous North American cities.
For added convenience, AUH's US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility allows US-bound travelers to clear immigration and customs checks before boarding, eliminating the hassle upon arrival in the US.
Toronto Welcomes the A350
Beyond BOS, Toronto (YYZ) passengers will also benefit from EY’s commitment to North America. Starting October 27, Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) will see the daily arrival of the Airbus A350, known for its cutting-edge technology and passenger comfort.
"The Airbus A350 is setting new standards for air travel, with increased efficiencies and comfort. The introduction of the A350 to Toronto aligns with our strategy to meet increasing customer demand and expand our network,” said Arik De.
Etihad’s A350-1000 is configured in a two-class configuration with 44 seats in Business class and 327 seats in Economy. The A350 boasts a 25% reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions compared to previous models, highlighting EY’s dedication to sustainability.
With these exciting updates, EY aims to further strengthen its position as a preferred carrier for travelers in North America seeking a comfortable, convenient, and connected travel experience.
