DALLAS – Ethiopian Airlines (ET) operated its inaugural flight to Warsaw (WAW), Poland on July 1. ET will offer four weekly flights to the Polish capital via Athens (ATH) in Greece. Flights to WAW is offered as a tag on flight to the carrier’s existing Addis Ababa (ADD) service.
The inaugural flight, ET764 departed from ADD at 11.57 PM local time on July 1 and arrived in ATH at 04.50 AM the following day. The flight then continued to WAW, departing ATH at 06.15 AM and arriving in WAW at 07.25 AM, local time.
The launch of this flight marks a significant milestone for the African carrier’s European network expansion, enhancing global connectivity and promoting commerce and tourism. The flight schedule is as follows:
- Flight ET764: Addis Ababa (ADD) – Athens (ATH) – Warsaw (WAW) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays
- Flight ET765: Warsaw (WAW) – Athens (ATH) – Addis Ababa (ADD) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
Expanded European Route Network
Warsaw (WAW) is ET’s 24th destination in Europe. ET’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, expressed pleasure at the launch of this new connection between Africa and Central Europe.

The ADD-based carrier is the largest African airline in terms of passengers carried, destinations served, fleet size, and revenue earned. ET is a member of Star Alliance, having joined the alliance in December 2011.
