DALLAS – Emirates (EK) has entered into an interline agreement with Viva Aerobus (VB)to boost connectivity for passengers traveling to Mexico.
This partnership will enable EK flights to multiple destinations within Mexico, allowing passengers to travel from Mexico City to 21 domestic locations while enjoying the convenience of a single-ticket policy that includes one checked bag.
The agreement also expands international route options for Emirates customers, offering 20 convenient flights connecting six destinations in Mexico with popular U.S. cities. Interline tickets are available for purchase immediately.
It is worth noting that the Dubai-Mexico City route, which started in 2019 with a stopover in Barcelona, is operated by Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. Travelers can also take Airbus A380 flights from Dubai to Los Angeles and Houston-Intercontinental before connecting with VB to reach their final destinations in Mexico.
U.S. Destinations
Travelers booking from Dubai to Mexico City can now connect to 21 other domestic destinations, including Acapulco, Cancun, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. The interline network also features direct flights from the United States, with examples including Chicago O’Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston-Intercontinental, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Miami, along with certain Mexican destinations. Passengers from Mexico City can easily fly to Chicago O’Hare, Houston-Intercontinental, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York JFK, or San Antonio.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated, "We are pleased to activate an interline partnership with Viva Aerobus to deepen our reach in Mexico beyond Mexico City. This new partnership offers our customers more options to suit their travel plans and allows customers to fly seamlessly to a number of unique destinations in Mexico. Emirates customers can also fly directly between select U.S. points and cities in Mexico. This new offering is in line with our Fly Better promise and the convenience our customers can feel when flying with us, and we look forward to further developing the partnership in the future to elevate its benefits for our customers."
