DALLAS — Announced in its 2024-2025 winter schedule, easyJet (U2) will increase its flights to/from French airports by 27 new ones.
The new routes represent a 5% increase in the airline's traffic to France, including flights those from London Gatwick, Newcastle, and Leeds. Additionally, the program is predicted to increase passenger counts at Bordeaux and Lyon airports by 6% and Nice airport by 5%.
27 New Winter Routes
- Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Budapest (Hungary), Newcastle, Leeds (UK), Oslo (Norway), Hurghada (Egypt) and Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Fuerteventura (Canary islands, Spain), Kittilä (Finland) and Tromsø (Norway)
- Bordeaux to Rome-Fiumicino (Italy), Rabat (Morocco), Zurich (Switzerland) and Rovaniemi (Finland)
- Lyon to Hurghada, Berlin Brandenburg (Germany), Newcastle and Rovaniemi (Findland).
- Nantes to Prague (Czech Republic)
- Nice to Agadir, Prague, Strasbourg, Madrid, Lanzarote (Canary islands, Spain), and Rovaniemi.
- Strasbourg to Barcelona (Spain), London Gatwick, Naples (Italy) and Nice.
The winter schedule's launch will be staggered over several months, starting with the flights to Leeds and Newcastle from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) on October 27 and 28. Then, starting November 11, 2025, flights to London Gatwick Airport (LGA) from Strasbourg will follow the link between Lyon and Newcastle.
The news comes after concerns that the airline would begin a strategic retreat from the French nation following the carrier's exit from Toulouse Airport (TLS) in spring of 2025.
