DALLAS — Discover Airlines (4Y) flight 4Y12, an Airbus A330, departed Frankfurt Airport (FRA) for Tulum Felipe Carillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) in Mexico yesterday at 10:20 a.m.
This is the first European airline to serve TQO and the first landing of a wide-body aircraft at the one-year-old airport. The inaugural flight landed on time at 4:05 p.m. Mexican local time, greeted by Governor Mara Lezama and German Ambassador Dr. Clemens von Goetze.
From December 12, 2024 to April 27, 2025, 4Y will offer non-stop flights to Tulum twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Until now, Tulum was only reachable by connecting flights via the US or Mexico.
