DALLAS — Delta Air Lines (DL) has launched a new daily nonstop flight between Dublin Airport (DUB) and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) on May 10, 2024. This marks DL's fourth direct route from Ireland to the United States, joining existing services to Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), and New York-JFK (JFK).
The inaugural flight signifies a significant milestone in the longstanding partnership between DUB and DL. The airport has welcomed DL as a key partner for nearly four decades, with the first direct route established between DUB and ATL in 1988, as stated by the airport
This new route expands Delta's presence at DUB, providing passengers with enhanced travel options and connectivity.
"Today marks the inaugural flight of Delta Air Lines' new direct service from Dublin to Minneapolis, adding another exciting chapter to our longstanding relationship with Delta,” said Mr. Gary McLean, Managing Director for Dublin Airport.
More Choices for Travelers
The new DUB-MSP route caters to the growing demand for transatlantic travel. This summer, DL will offer nearly 12,500 weekly seats between DUB and the United States, providing passengers with more flexibility and options for their journeys.
"We're thrilled to be connecting these two cities and provide customers with even more travel options to the United States," said Matteo Curcio, Delta's Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.
Looking Ahead
Both DUB and DL seem to be committed to building on this successful partnership. With a focus on passenger growth and expanded connectivity, they have agreed to continue to explore new opportunities to strengthen their collaboration.
Delta’s Boeing 767-300 will operate this route. With a variety of seating options to choose from, including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin, passengers can personalize their flying experience.
Delta continues to be the largest carrier operating out of MSP, operating around 345 daily flights to 120 domestic and international destinations, as reported by the IrishCentral.
