DALLAS – Azores Airlines (S4), has commenced new direct flights between North American cities and Porto, Portugal (OPO). These new routes complement S4's existing service to the Azores Archipelago.
The Portuguese carrier recently operated inaugural flights connecting the cities of New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), and Toronto (YYZ) with Porto (OPO).
“This direct air operation reinforces the offer of flights departing from Porto and North America, destinations to which Azores Airlines has been flying for more than two decades and where it has consistently grown,” said Graça Silva, Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication at SATA Group.
New Routes
The new direct flights connect OPO with major North American hubs.
- New York (JFK) to Porto (OPO): Flights operate on Sundays from JFK and Thursdays from OPO.
- Boston (BOS) to Porto (OPO): Take off on Wednesdays from BOS and return on Tuesdays from OPO.
- Toronto (YYZ) to Porto (OPO): Flights depart OPO on Saturdays and YYZ on Fridays.
These new direct connections come alongside S4's existing 24 weekly connections to the Azores Archipelago (Ponta Delgada and Terceira). Passengers can also connect via Ponta Delgada (PDL) to Boston (BOS), New York (JFK), Cape Verde ( Praia - PRA), Toronto (YYZ), and Montreal (YUL).
In addition to these options, the Portuguese carrier also offers the StopOver Azores program, allowing passengers a break in their journey with a stay of up to seven days in the Azores, turning their trip into a multi-destination adventure.
