Flag Carrier Avianca Resumes 11 International Routes

DALLAS — Avianca (AV) has resumed eleven international routes for the high midyear season. This expansion aims to provide travelers with increased connectivity between various destinations in the Americas, including Colombia, Central America, and the United States.

Many of these routes have already been resumed while some of them will be resumed within a few weeks. All of these routes will be operated by an Airbus A320 family aircraft, each with a capacity of 180 passengers. This expansion represents over 20,000 weekly seats offered across the 11 routes.

"We continue to invest in the United States as one of the most important connectivity hubs within our route network. Part of this investment has been to strengthen our point-to-point operation, facilitating access for more travelers to explore the continent's main destinations which include 11 additional direct routes," said Rolando Damas, Avianca's sales director for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
