Austrian Airlines Expands Innsbruck Services

DALLAS — Austrian Airlines (OS) is gearing up for the winter season with a significant boost in service to Innsbruck (INN), Austria. The expanded flight schedule is aimed at offering greater convenience for travelers and strengthens Innsbruck's position as a winter tourism hub.

Starting in late October 2024 and continuing through March 2025, OS will operate up to three daily flights between Vienna (VIE) and Innsbruck (INN). This increased frequency provides passengers with more flexibility when planning their winter getaways.

New Direct Flights to Popular European Destinations

Innsbruck will also benefit from new direct weekly flights to Brussels (BRU), Copenhagen (CPH), and Warsaw (WAW) from December to early March.

Amsterdam (AMS) will be included in the winter schedule with flights continuing once a week until the end of March. These additional routes will offer convenient connections for tourists from these major European cities.

“With our expanded flight offer between Vienna and Innsbruck, we now provide our guests with greater flexibility and four direct tourist connections to Tyrol. We see ourselves as part of the Tyrolean economy, and our commitment is reflected in our flight program!” said Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines.

Additional Connections

To further enhance the travel experience, OS will operate charter domestic flights directly from Stockholm (ARN) and Billund (BLL) to INN during peak ski season.

Beyond OS's expanded network, Lufthansa (LH) will continue to serve the INN to Frankfurt (FRA) route with 11 weekly flights, providing a vital connection to the rest of the world via FRA. Additionally, the Lufthansa Express Bus service, launched in the summer of 2024, will continue operating in winter with up to four daily trips between Innsbruck and the Munich (MUC) hub.
