DALLAS — ANA Holdings (NH) has announced an order for 77 aircraft to add to its fleet in the coming years.
The order includes 15 E190-E2s aircraft from Embraer with options for an additional five aircraft and marks the introduction of the E2 jet in Japan. Deliveries of the E190-E2 aircraft to NH are expected to commence in 2028.
For ANA-branded international routes, in anticipation of strong Asia-North America demand and the re-expansion of Narita International Airport, ANA will order 18 Boeing 787-9 aircraft equipped with GE engines.
In addition, NH will add 14 A321neos and LCC Peach (MM) will update some of its current fleet with 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft and 3 Airbus A321XLR aircraft. ANA has also ordered 12 Boeing 737-8s, divided into eight firm and four options.
In addition to the above, NH has finalized options for five Boeing 787-9 aircraft, announced on February 25, 2020, and 10 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, announced on January 29, 2019.
The airline says of the new aircraft that it “will build a foundation for sustainable growth by aggressively introducing new aircraft to international routes, which is the growth area of our business.”
Compared to FY2023, available seat kilometers (ASK) on international routes are expected to increase approximately 1.5 times in FY2030.
