DALLAS — Today, Japanese carrier ANA All Niippon Airlines (NH) announced an expansion of its European network for the Winter 2024-2025 season by adding three new routes to Milan (MXP), Stockholm (ARN), and Istanbul (IST).
All of these new routes will depart from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND), and the three new additions will be flown as return flights three times weekly.
Starting December 3, 2024, the HND to MXP flight will operate as NH207 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and the return flight will operate as NH208. Starting January 31, 2025, the Haneda to Stockholm ARN will also be flown on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays as NH221/222.
Commencing February 12, 2025, NH219/220 will see flights between HND and IST on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. This route is highly significant, as it allows passengers to transit in Istanbul and fly with fellow Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines (TK) to several destinations. TK flies to more than 130 countries worldwide, the most for any commercial airline.
These new destinations are predicted to boost NH's capacity by 144 percent compared to the previous year. All Nippon currently serves nine European cities: London, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, Munich, and Frankfurt.
Narita Routes Update
In addition to the new European routes, NH will continue flying between Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Perth (PER) after a short hiatus, starting October 14, 2024. NRT- PER will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays as NH881/882.
ANA will also increase frequency on the HND to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) route, which its LCC subsidiary, AirJapan, also serves. HND—BKK will see seven more weekly flights, in addition to the current 14 per week. The addition means that from January 9, 2025, there will also be NH877/878, a move after increased demand.
The airline already flies between HND and Hong Kong (HKG), but after a rise in demand, a temporary extra flight will be added for the NRT—HKG route on Saturdays only from January 18, 2025, to January 31, 2025. This increases the frequency to four times a week from Narita.
