DALLAS — American Airlines (AA) plans a “record-breaking schedule” to Mexico, adding Puerto Escondido as its 30th destination to offer more capacity to the southern neighboring country than any other U.S. airline.
American will operate a year-round service to PXM from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering the most service of any U.S. carrier to PXM. Customers can also enhance their journey by selecting a premium cabin on the Embraer 175 aircraft designated for this route.
In March, AA launched a new service to Tampico (TAM), and in November, it will offer the only international service from Oklahoma with new flights to Cancun (CUN). AA introduced service to three destinations in Mexico in 2024: Tijuana (TIJ), Tulum (TQO), and Veracruz (VER).

Comments from AA Official
“With the announcement of American’s 30th destination in Mexico — Puerto Escondido — we further solidify our position as the leading U.S. airline in the country with an operation and network that is unmatched," said José A. Freig, American’s Vice President of International, Contact Center Operations and Service Recovery.
"Puerto Escondido is quickly becoming a top destination for travelers in search of tropical and relaxing getaways, and we are confident that our new service from Dallas-Fort Worth will offer our customers the opportunity to experience a unique part of Mexico.”
