DALLAS — Alaska Airlines (AS) has announced a new partnership with STARLUX Airlines (JX), which has commenced its first nonstop flights between Seattle (SEA) and Taipei (TPE). This new service, operating three times a week, marks JX's third nonstop destination in the U.S. from Taipei.
The luxury airline offers a premium flying experience with top-tier service and amenities. Passengers can book these flights directly through alaskaair.com, which will also feature a forthcoming codeshare agreement to enhance connectivity. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can earn and redeem miles on JX flights, adding value for frequent travelers.
Brett Catlin, Alaska Airlines' Vice President of Loyalty, Alliances, and Sales, highlighted the significance of this new route. "STARLUX brings exceptional onboard service and access to various Asian destinations. With this new service, Seattle now hosts 13 global partners, providing extensive flight options and destinations from our home base."
The new flights will arrive in Taipei early in the morning for an easier connection to other Asian destinations and returning to Seattle in the afternoon. STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai emphasized the importance of Seattle in their expansion strategy, noting it as a critical gateway for connecting passengers from over 100 U.S. cities to the Asia Pacific.
Since its first transpacific route launch in April 2023 to Los Angeles, JX has also added San Francisco to its network. The Seattle flights will operate on JX's Airbus A350, featuring four cabin classes: First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. Each class offers unique comforts, from Michelin-rated meals and curated in-cabin aromatherapy in First and Business classes to extra-legroom seating in Premium Economy and comfortable economy seating.
Passengers on JX flights enjoy a high-end experience with options for pre-ordered meals and extensive in-flight entertainment, ensuring a luxurious and enjoyable journey across the Pacific.
