DALLAS — On-time performance from global airport in June 2024 saw mixed results, according to a Cirium's June 2024 On-Time Report.
The report tracked over 487,000 flights across 2,218 routes worldwide, with an overall on-time departure rate of 76.07%.
King Khalid International Airport (RUH) topped the global rankings with an impressive 85.60% on-time departure rate, followed closely by Sao Paulo-Guarulhos international Airport (GRU) at 85.13%.
Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) and Haneda Airport (HND) rounded out the top five with 83.95% and 86.63% on-time departure rate, respectively.
Performance by Airport Size
- Breaking down the performance by airport size, São Paulo/Congonhas Airport (CGH) led the large airport category with an 88.25% on-time departure rate.
- In the medium airport category, Santos Dumont airport (SDU) claimed the top spot with 92.90% of flights departing on time.
- For small airports, Cape Town International Airport ((CPT) emerged as the leader with a 92.58% on-time departure rate.
