Air Canada, airBaltic Announce Codeshare Agreement

DALLAS — Air Canada (AC) and airBaltic (BT) have announced a codeshare agreement to connect Canada and Europe's Baltic states seamlessly.

Air Canada's marketing code will be implemented on ten routes operated by the Baltic airline on its new A220s, commencing on November 6, 2024, to facilitate customers' travel to Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania with a single ticket. From numerous European gateways, such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Stockholm, the routes encompass the capital cities of Vilnius (Lithuania), Riga (Latvia), and Tallinn (Estonia).

Also, effective for travel beginning November 6, 2024, BT's marketing code will be placed on two routes operated by the Canadian carrier from Toronto to Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Next summer, the BT code will be added to AC's seasonal services from Montreal to Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Toronto to Stockholm.

The airlines also said they will explore “benefits for each other's loyalty program members in the future.”
