DALLAS — Aer Lingus (EI) operated its inaugural flight from Dublin (DUB) to Denver (DEN) on May 17, 2024. This marks the Irish carrier’s second route launch in North America this year, following the Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) route earlier.
The inaugural flight, EI59, was performed by an Airbus A330-200 with registration EI-DUO. Flight EI59 departed DUB at 3:48 PM local time and arrived at DEN at 6:08 PM local time after a flight time of 9 hours and 20 minutes.
"We are thrilled to commence our Denver route today, another important milestone for Aer Lingus to drive forward our North American expansion. The new service is also of huge importance to the Denver region as Aer Lingus is the only European carrier that flies nonstop to Ireland and offers convenient onward connections to the UK and Europe via our hub here at Dublin Airport,” said Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus' Chief Customer Officer.
Four Weekly Flights
The DUB-DEN route is being operated four times a week with slight variations in departure and arrival times depending on the day. Flights from DUB (EI 59) depart on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays at 3:30 PM, arriving in DEN at 6:15 PM. On Wednesdays, the flight departs DUB at 4:15 PM and lands in DEN at 7:00 PM.
The return flights from DEN (EI 58) depart on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays at 8:00 PM, arriving in DUB at 11:45 AM the next day. Wednesday's return flight departs DEN at 8:45 PM and arrives in DUB at 12:25 PM the next day.
Aer Lingus' Denver service further strengthens DEN's European connection. With this new addition, DEN now boasts six European destinations including London Heathrow (LHR), Reykjavik (KEF), Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Frankfurt (FRA), and Munich (MUC). Moreover, EI became the 24th airline to operate out of DEN, as reported by Aviacionline.
Additional Services
Passengers flying on this route can expect the comfort and amenities EI offers on all its transatlantic flights. This includes complimentary meals and beverages, a wide selection of in-flight entertainment options, and recently upgraded Wi-Fi for better connectivity across the Atlantic.
Additionally, customers flying to North America with Aer Lingus enjoy the convenience of US Customs and Border pre-clearance at DUB and Shannon (SNN) airports.
