In-flight on an Ill-fated Il-62

On July 24, 2009, an Ilyushin Il-62M operating on behalf of Aria Air, was destroyed in a landing accident at Mashhad, Iran, at the conclusion of Flight IRX1525. This fatal accident ended Il-62 operations in Iran after only four months, and forced the permanent grounding of Aria Air. A first-hand account of flying on IRX1525 and the accident aircraft a few weeks before the crash.
