Is Virgin America the USA's Best Airline?

by David C Forward To many experienced travellers outside the USA, the words 'America' and 'excellent airline' are rarely used in the same sentence. So, 'Best airline in America' - an oxymoron like 'giant shrimp' or 'military intelligence' - is likely to evoke the skeptical response, "You mean the best of a bad bunch?" Indeed, US flyers have been 'programmed' to expect little when they buy a ticket nowadays...
